    Viking Winners Bingo Review

The Vikings were born winners. Not all of them admittedly – countless Norse warriors doubtless fell in battle – but enough of them survived to pass their genes on to us today. We also inherited their stories and drinking songs, many of which have withstood the test of time. You won’t find any of those things at Viking Winners, a bingo website for UK players, but you will find some epic Viking imagery. An evocative featured image shows a Viking longboat pulling into a majestic fjord, oars out and shields up.

The site’s background, a snow-covered mountain, adds to the atmosphere, and imparts a dash of Game of Thrones. Sure, it’s just a place where you can play 90-ball bingo with your friends, but kudos to Viking Winners for making an effort with their theme. In addition to bingo, the site is loaded with slots and a few instant games. Bingo is best though, mostly because the games are so varied and in most cases cost so little to enter.

    About Viking Winners

Viking Winners is operated by Cozygames Management Limited. The Isle of Man company are licensed by the Great Britain Gambling Commission and are headquartered in Douglas, along with many other gaming companies. The site has been optimised for tablet and mobile, allowing players to enjoy their favourite games on the go. In addition to bingo, there are over 35 casino games to be played here, most of which are slots.

Cozygames Management were established in 2005 on the Isle of Man, where the company and its gaming servers remain to this day. The site’s games have been independently tested by iTech Labs and certified by eCOGRA to ensure fair play and honest payouts. Customer support is available 24/7 via live chat or email.

    Viking Strong Banking

There’s a small selection of deposit methods available at Viking Winners, ranked according to which one the site recommends most. In order of best to worst, these are Paysafecard, debit card, credit card, Paysafe and Neteller. This hierarchy makes little sense though as it doesn’t tally with the actual deposit options offered further down the page. Also, what’s “Paysafe”? If you’re thinking of depositing by card, your actual options are Visa, MasterCard, Switch and Maestro.

The other options that Viking Winners neglected to mention earlier are Neteller and Boku, the latter a pay by mobile method. The description for Boku is actually the Neteller description, which appears twice on the page. If this sounds confusing, it is. There’s really no excuse for having a banking page this slovenly and disorganised.

    What Bonuses?

The bonus page at Viking Winners, and all other pages for that matter, features ornate scripted lettering that’s in keeping with the Viking/ancient theme. The site design is pretty good, it must be said; it’s just the actual content that’s weak or confusing. Click on the offers on the site’s promotions page, for example, and a box will open to reveal further information. Unfortunately, each box is completely blank. Way to go, Viking Winners. As a consequence, only the bare bones of each bonus can be gleaned. There’s £10 in bonus cash when you sign up and validate your credit or debit card. This cash is subject to an 8x wagering requirement on bingo and 20x on slots.

Other offers include 20% cashback a week, a jackpot special, newbie bonuses, deposit specials and something for referring a friend. Due to Viking Winners’ flawed design, it’s impossible to learn more about what these bonuses might entail. But wait, there’s more: a small box in the left hand sidebar touts a first deposit bonus of 500%, a second deposit bonus of 350% and a third deposit bonus of 300%. This is nice, but why isn’t this mentioned elsewhere? Click on the box and you’ll be taken through to Viking Winners’ broken Promotions page.

    Bingo Bonanza

Viking Winners might be an attractive site masking a multitude of sins, but at least its bingo games work. Head to the bingo lobby and you’ll find a list of all the games that are scheduled to start, displayed in a long list. These are the same games you’ll find at many other Cozygames Management sites of course because they’ve been networked. On the one hand, this means that the big jackpot prizes are likely to be won by someone playing at an entirely different site, but so it goes. It’s the involvement of these players after all that makes these shared jackpots so large in the first place.

One thing in Viking Winners’ favour is that the range of bingo games hosted is extensive, incorporating 90, 80, 75, 50 and 30-ball games. Tickets cost between 1p and £1 – and that’s not including the free bingo games, which have symbolic prizes of £1 or so thrown in. With some games, the value of the jackpot is dependant upon the number of players involved, whereas others have guaranteed pots of £2,500 or more. There are chat games too, where conversing with fellow players takes priority over playing bingo. Like much of this site, it’s impossible to obtain further information about Viking Winners because the site’s so broken.

    Fine Slots

Bingo sites aren’t generally known for the quality of their slots and Viking Winners doesn’t meddle with that model. These games are fine as a fleeting distraction from bingo, but they’re hardly the sort of slots you could immerse yourself in for days. Still, for fleeting thrills, see how you fare with Shaman’s Luck, Honey Bees, Wizard’s Castle, Five Pirates and Bargainista. There aren’t any branded slots, but hey, you can’t have everything.

    Casino Games

There’s a modestly sized casino at Viking Winners that includes European Blackjack, Jacks or Better, Keno and Deuces Wild. There’s also Multi Hand European Blackjack and a few others. Curiously, there’s no roulette, which is usually the first go-to game that lightweight casinos offer. Scratch cards are well represented though. These tend to be popular with the bingo crowd as they’re quick to play, making them ideal for squeezing in between bingo games. Scratch games to be found at Viking Winners include Asteroids, Rubies & Sapphires, Treasures of King Arthur, Lucky Fish and Cold Cash.

    Viking Winners Conclusion

Viking Winners is a strong looking site – as strong as the Scandinavian warriors whose name it bears – but one that ultimately proves to be deeply disappointing. What’s the deal with the broken promotions page? And the broken banking page? Those things are kinda important when you’re running a gambling website. You’d think that a company in the business of operating such sites for over 12 years would have gotten the hang of these things, but apparently not.

Taken at face value, Viking Winners looks great. Viewed at close range, it’s a below average site that’s full of holes and sinking fast. Abandon this longboat and swim for shore while you still can.
