    ITV Bingo Review

Are we talking ITV as in the television channel? Yep, that very same ITV. You've seen them on television and now you can see them on the web providing online bingo to show that they're more than just a one-trick pony. Before you get all excited at the prospect of signing up with such a recognised name, albeit one who are an unknown entity when it comes to bingo, it's worth noting that your computer needs to be compatible with the ITV Bingo site before you can get going.

Visit the site on your desktop device and you will be greeted by an “important notice” informing you that you need to download Flash to access the games. The ITV Bingo Zone is the name given to the community that has sprung up on the website where players can interact to chat, play bingo games and potentially talk about their favourite television programmes, be they ITV shows or those of other broadcasters. Although branded as ITV Bingo, the site is operated by Cassava Enterprises Ltd, a company who hail from Gibraltar and operate many other sites.

    About ITV Bingo

Cassava Enterprises Ltd are licensed by the Great Britain Gambling Commission, while the licence itself is actually granted to 888 UK Limited who are part of the 888 group. They are a large gaming company with a finger in many pies and extensive experience of operating bingo sites. A company called Cashcade Ltd are responsible for marketing the site. They are based in London and operate sites such as Foxy Bingo. Meanwhile, the software that powers the site it is provided by Brigend who are a subsidiary of Cassava Enterprises.

If you need to get hold of customer support while using the site you can do so via email or by calling a freephone UK telephone number. Given that the stated response time for emails is 48 hours, you would be best advised picking up the phone.

    ITV’s Banking

ITV Bingo accept a range of deposit methods, although frustratingly all it says on the FAQ is that it accepts “most payment methods”. This is clearly a lie for there is a near-infinite number of method that they do not accept, from Bitcoin to UseMyBank. They do accept credit and debit card though such as Visa, Visa Electron, MasterCard and Maestro. They also accept Neteller and Firepay.

The minimum withdrawal amount is £30 and the minimum deposit amount is £10. It can apparently take up to 8 working days for funds to appear in your account, preceded by a two-day weight for your withdrawal request to clear. ITV Bingo is committed to promoting responsible gambling and encourages players to set self-exclusion limits if they feel that their bingo playing is in danger of getting out of hand.

    Huge Jackpots

When you sign up at ITV Bingo there is a 200% first deposit bonus worth up to £100. Deposit a minimum of £10 to claim this offer. After this, there are some serious jackpot prizes to be won on the site every month. In fact, ITV Bingo claims that there is £100,000 in guaranteed cash games every month. Games commence every 15 minutes between 9am and 12am, with the highlight being a £2,000 jackpot game every Friday night. There is also £1,000 to be won on the Saturday game, the same amount on a Thursday and smaller sums throughout the week.

There are plenty of other bonuses worth looking out for at ITV Bingo. You can earn extra bingo points in various ways and you can claim a £5 bonus for referring a friend to the site. ITV Bingo operates a loyalty scheme in which players will receive points for every deposit they make. You will earn 5,000 bingo points for every friend who signs up and deposits £5 and for every £10 spent on bingo cards you will also receive 1 bingo point.

    Bingo Games

The bingo games to be played at ITV Bingo revolve around 90 and 75-ball bingo. The former can be classified as the traditional form of bingo and this is certainly what appears to be most popular on the site. However, at the time of writing this review the text at the top of the bingo page says “There are 0 players online right now”. This section is meant to populate in real time to show how many players are online, but perhaps due to some sort of website error this is currently inoperational. Whatever the case, it isn't exactly encouraging.

With the 90-ball game, there is a progressive jackpot that can be won. Again though, the value of the progressive jackpot according to the bingo page at ITV Bingo is currently worth £0. It is likely that this value changes once you're logged in to the site or once the site is operating properly; this is the problem with relying on Flash-based websites. With the 75-ball game, to scoop the progressive pot you have to complete the game pattern in 31 calls or less. ITV Bingo also has chat games where chat hosts keep the banter flying and ensure that players are civil to one another as they exchange pleasantries and play bingo games for small prizes. Games operate every 15 minutes of the day so you shouldn't have to wait long for the next game to start.

    Other Games

Aside from bingo, ITV Bingo has a small selection of slots and mini games. Because it is a Cassava Enterprises site, these are the same games that feature at all of the company's other sites. They should work on mobile as well as on desktop although this isn't exactly satisfactorily explained. Again, the only way to find out is to log in and see for yourself. The games that can be played here include Fluffy Favourites, Shaman’s Dream, Sands of Fortune, Paradise Reels, X Factor video slot and scratch cards such as Naughts & Crosses.

    ITV Bingo Conclusion

ITV Bingo isn't a bad site, presuming that it does actually work and the information about zero players being online is simply an error and not a fact. However, given that this site carries the somewhat prestigious ITV logo and brand, you’d think there would be something a bit more appealing about the site. Instead, it is just another knock-off site by Cassava Enterprises that has nothing new to it other than the famous ITV logo.

Still, if you can forget that this is an ITV site for a moment, it does function reasonably well aside from the Flash-based issues, and the bingo games, deposit options and welcome bonus are all fine. The slots seem okay too although a full list of these isn't provided without being logged in to the site. ITV Bingo is alright then but it's not nearly as good as it should or could be.
