    Happy Luke Casino Review

Happy Luke is a relatively new online casino, set up in 2015 and mainly focused towards the Australian and Asian gaming markets. Its licence is issued by the Cagayan Special Economic Zone and Freeport. Never heard of it? You wouldn’t be the only one. It’s based in the Philippines, which may not hugely inspire confidence but it’s also part of Income 88 Affiliates, a pretty big and well-established Asian group.

In addition, they offer SSL encryption and all their games are regularly audited by an independent test agency, so you can deposit and bet with confidence. It’s worth noting incidentally that there is more than one Happy Luke. In fact there are four, all united under the same roof. The main site is complemented by versions designed for players hailing from Thailand, Vietnam and China.

    About Happy Luke

‘The search is over. You’ve found Happy Luke!’ This is the rather bold statement on the website, but whether they’re all talk remains to be seen. Certainly first impressions of the site are appealing. The design is bright and colourful with a cool graphics based background. The whole site is very visually based, with each page having tiled rows of graphics to click on for each game or online slot. Navigation is simple and straightforward. The menu is across the top and bold tabs lead you to either Slots, Video Slots, Live Casino, Table Games, Other Games or Promotions. There’s also a smaller menu at the bottom which includes things like information on mobile gaming, payment methods and their loyalty program.

Happy Luke provides a number of options for players needing help or advice. Their Live Chat has very quick response times and is available 7 days a week. Bear in mind they are on a different timezone (Australian Western Time) so while it says 9.00am to 4.00am then if you’re in GMT then you need to add 8 hours. Outside of those times, you can drop them an email or they have a fairly comprehensive FAQs section for more general enquiries. There’s also a dedicated page for responsible gaming, which is quite nice to see. Users can see information on setting themselves deposit limits, cool off periods and self-exclusion policies, along with some general advice and links to third party help groups.

    Video Slots

The slots are where you’re going to find the biggest range of options here, with nearly 600 different games on offer from major games developers such as Microgaming, NetEnt and BetSoft. Whatever you prefer in terms of theme, style or gameplay there’s bound to be something to suit, including quite a few progressive jackpot games for those who like to play big. The only downside is that there isn’t much in the way of search options.

Newer games appear at the top, but other than that there’s no choice to search by anything like theme, payouts or developer. This could be tricky for people who don’t know what they what to play, and while the icons can give a quick impression of the game there’s no description until you load it up.  If you’re wanting to try something a little different, then check out the ‘Other Games’ section. This has games like Virtual Racebook, as well as a couple of scratchcard games for those who fancy their luck.

    Happy Banking?

The deposit and withdrawal options here are a bit sparse. They seem to be relying mainly on e-wallet options, and you can use Neteller, Skrill and ecoPayz. Bank transfers are available in most countries, but not always for withdrawals, so make sure you double check beforehand. On a positive note though, the minimum deposit is a very reasonable $10, while the minimum withdrawal is the same and the maximum a hefty $5,000 per day. Sure to cover even those punters who bet big.

When it does come to withdrawals the maximum approval time is 72 hours, and then payment can vary depending on your method. The e-wallets seem to be instant, while you may be waiting a few extra days for bank payments. There are also some fees involved for certain options, so again, do check beforehand so you don’t get caught out.

    Bonus Options

On bonuses and offers is where Happy Luke doesn’t seem to deliver as well as some online casinos. There’s a welcome bonus, which is 100% on your first deposit up to $250. Not too shabby but there are better offers out there, particularly since the wagering requirement is 40x. If you’re willing to stick with the rollovers though then you can carry on and get 25% on your second deposit, and then 50% on your third. In addition, if you complete all three bonuses you qualify for a 10% daily reload bonus up to $40. In terms of ongoing bonuses though there’s not much available. The casino offers some monthly free spins offers but these can be quite variable.

    Staying Loyal

There’s a casino loyalty program that gives you ‘coins’ in exchange for activities like depositing, trying new games, leaving reviews and ratings etc. You can then swop these coins for rewards at the online shop. These seem to be things like locked bonus rounds, free spins etc. As you gain more you also go up ‘levels’ which are shown by random different avatars representing casino staff.

For each new level you reach there’s a ‘treat’ but Happy Luke don’t seem to be sharing what the treats may be. It’s an interesting idea and may add some interest if you’re playing regularly on the site anyway. The lack of an option to convert coins to real cash though may be offputting to some and overall the bonuses and rewards don’t feel like they’ll be enough on their own to pull in new punters.

    Mobile Play at Happy Luke

Happy Luke is very mobile friendly and the site loads beautifully on smartphones and tablets. There’s no casino app, which may disappoint some, but on the other hand there’s no download needed to browse the main site and the bright graphics and easy navigation translate well to mobile play. Great for play on the go.

    Different Casino Formats

There’s a great selection of live dealer games here, and players can choose from eight different casino formats. These are all based on famous gambling cities, from Vegas to Paris to Tokyo. Each has an individual style and theme but in broad terms the gameplay is similar and they all offer real-time gaming and various interactive features. Whichever you choose it’s bound to give that authentic casino experience.

If live games aren’t your thing then there’s also a decent selection of table games, including plenty of different versions of poker, blackjack, roulette and baccarat. There’s some nice graphics and smooth gameplay, with developers Ezugi, iSoftBet and Quickspin all being represented. There’s also a small selection of video poker games on offer.

    Happy Luke Conclusion

Happy Luke have done well to get such a wide selection available, especially in terms of online slots and live dealing. The site is slick and easily navigable, with excellent mobile-compatibility. It’s bound to hold appeal for those gamers who like a lot of options under one roof, particularly with reward coins for frequent play. However, the limited deposit/withdrawal options and lack of ongoing bonuses may send some in search of better bargains.
